The Events Industry Council, a global federation of more than 30 member organizations, formed the APEX COVID-19 Business Recovery Task Force. Danielle Foisy, Director of Business Development and Industry Relations at TMS proudly serves on the task force along with several other professional leaders representing all major segments of the industry. The task force’s workgroups are focused on aggregating and curating accepted practices across the events ecosystem and providing a framework for recovery and resilience as the industry adapts. We are cognizant of both our present realities and the need to best prepare for our future through our ability to analyze and mitigate risk.
In June, the Events Industry Council published a Risk Management Guidebook. This resource is essential for professionals who plan and execute events. The guide covers assessing risks that may threaten attendees, the meeting or event itself, the organizer, or partner-suppliers, and applying the appropriate measures to manage the probability and consequences of such risks.
